Customise:sounds

By default Miranda doesn't come with any sounds, however it's very easy to set them up. Just follow these steps.

Setting sounds

  1. Download a sound pack from the File listing.
  2. Extract it into Sounds folder. You can create one if it does not exist.
  3. Navigate to the Options->Customize->Sounds page.
  4. Place a tick in the sound you would like to hear, hilight the event and click the "Change" button to assign a sound.
  5. Use the "Preview" button to hear the selected sound.


Troubleshooting

If you configured everything correctly but can't hear any sounds, you have to do the following:

  1. Download and install the Database Editor++ plugin.
  2. Open main menu and choose "Database Edtior++".
  3. Navigate to Settings->Skin and delete the "Skin" module.

Skin module contains "UseSound" value which should change when sounds are enabled and disabled. Deleting the module will reset the module and the value.
