MSN (Microsoft Network) is the instant messaging protocol and network run by Microsoft Corporation. The first version of MSN Messenger debuted in 1999. Two years later, an MSN protocol plugin was developed and released for Miranda, making it the second supported protocol after ICQ. A registered MSN account is known as a Live ID and is connected to an email address.
- Select MSN in the list of protocols when installing Miranda
- Fill in your Live ID and password in Options->Network->MSN
- Sign-in by going to Status Menu->MSN->Online
If you haven't yet registered a Live ID, you can create account by clicking on Create a new Windows Live account link in the options page referenced above.
