Protocol status lock

Protocol status lock is a feature that locks a protocol to a selected status, excluding it from global status changes. While in the locked state its status can be manually changed via Status Menu->[Protocol Name], or the status bar if enabled. The feature is often the cause of protocols not connecting automatically.

Locking and unlocking
Click the name of the protocol on the top line above the menu separator in Status Menu->[Protocol Name].

Contact List Classic and MultiWindow
- A 'sunken' icon in front of the protocol name in Status Menu->[Protocol Name] (top image)
Contact List Modern
- A 'sunken' icon in front of the protocol name, with the text locked displayed.
Contact List Nicer+
- A 'sunken' icon in front of the protocol name. Optionally, status bar icons can have a red dot overlay. This can be enabled at Options->Contact List->-Status Bar(Tab)->"Mark protocols locked from global status changes"
